Brew 101: Pour, Press & Plunge
Learn to brew café-quality filter coffee at home. A hands-on beginner class at our North Melbourne roastery — no snobbery, no jargon, just great coffee.
Love the coffee at our shops and want to recreate it at home? Here's the secret — it's just a handful of variables, no magic involved.
Whether you've just picked up your first dripper, French press, AeroPress or V60, or you're thinking about making filter coffee at home, this beginner class is for you. Over two hours you'll learn about coffee growing and processing, then get hands-on with three brewing methods — tasting the same coffee brewed each way before dialling in your own. We'll walk you through the elements that actually matter — grind size, ratios, extraction — so you leave knowing how to make better coffee tomorrow morning.
By the end you'll feel far more comfortable brewing at home, and you'll take home recipe cards, a brewing compass and a tasting wheel to keep going.
