We Took a Trip to: Saporito, Southbank

Stepping into Saporito, you’ll see their clean crisp setting with white marble tables and sleek wooden chairs. As a popular Southbank brunch spot, you can spy their large collection of muffins, croissants and other bakes right near their top of the range La Marzocco espresso machine.

Saporito pride themselves on a good classic Australian brunch, featuring high numbers of flat whites and proudly using and showcasing our very own Rosso Single Origin coffee: My Single Friend.

Having recently revamped their menu, you’ll see plenty of egg-based classics as well as muesli, porridge, french toast and vegan options. Of course, they kept their bestsellers like their spanish omelette, smashed avo chili scramble - which was as good as the rumours have said!

Being in Southbank, the team at Saporito said they are a key spot in the morning for passing through commuters as well as tourists. What’s really handy is, they’re open until 4pm and serving coffee til this time too. So it’s really great spot to grab a takeaway coffee after 2pm if you’re in South Melbourne/Southbank (bearing in mind most coffee places close at around 2pm). They’re also a popular spot for tourists and visitors to Melbourne staying around Crown Casino and the Southbank area.  They offer  bookings too, which is super convenient for locking a Saturday breakfast spot without the midmorning panic!

You can catch them in the evening too, when the place transforms into a Mexican eatery with hearty mexican classics. For brunch, their open 6am - 4pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 7am - 2pm. Bookings are obviously advised on the weekend in particular, but they’ve got lots of indoor and outdoor seating so you should be good for a walk in too.
